Looking for Lights
The kids always enjoy exploring Nana and Papa’s backyard when we visit them. We didn’t stay long this past summer since we wanted to visit family in south Georgia and get to Disney World, but they did enjoy hunting for fireflies. Zachary was an expert catcher, and Benjamin enjoyed looking at them up-close in Nana’s bug catcher.
Some of the fireflies figured out they could escape by squeezing through the air holes in the lid. Zachary had an easy solution to keep them in the bug catcher -- hold it upside down.
MacKenzie wasn’t thrilled with holding the bug catcher while one was trying to escape.
Nana has such beautiful flowers in her yard -- she also has a true green thumb. I really like these stargazer lilies and had to include a photo here.
