Gradual update #19 -- Christmas Day

The kids had a blast on Christmas morning last year, and were excited with the sleds Santa brought them (although they didn't immediately figure out how to correctly sit on them). Even though we didn't have magical Christmas snow, we did have snow just a few days later, so they didn't have to wait too long to break in their sleds...and what fun they had doing so!
As is our tradition, they had to wait until after breakfast to open the presents from under the tree, although they had full reign with their stockings. Benjamin started taking everything out of his stocking one-by-one, but that was taking too long so he eventually held his stocking upside-down for a quicker emptying. MacKenzie received several gifts in the pink, purple and princess genres...and loved every single one of them. Here the kids are posing with the gingerbread Lebkuchenherz that Santa brought them (well, Zachary and MacKenzie had the herz, Benjamin received a train). Zachary's said "Super boy," and MacKenzie's said "My sweet." I thought hers was appropriate since I call her my "sweetheart." They're designed for kids to wear around their necks and munch on while strolling through the Christmas markets. Zachary was the only one who liked them (MacKenzie ate only the icing off hers), but I thought it was a great idea for Santa to bring them traditional German goodies since we live in Germany now.
