Gradual update #27 -- Boy Scout Sunday
In February, the Boy Scouts were honored in church as part of the annual Boy Scout Sunday. The boys had different responsibilities during the service, including handing out the programs and collecting the offering. Zachary enjoyed being responsible for those activities for the entire congregation.
The best part of the service, though, was when he was recognized for completing his “God and Family” religious medal. He had worked on the requirements for several months beginning in the fall. There were several boys who had also worked on the program with him, so all the boys were called up to the front with their parents to be recognized for their achievements and to have the medals pinned on them.
